Details

The town hall meeting will run from 7:00-9:00 PM with the following format:

  • Each candidate will have an opening and closing statement of 5 minutes.
  • Two neutral moderators will be selected (one by each candidate) to help keep time and facilitate a steady flow of voter questions.
  • There will be two microphones—one microphone for questions directed to Jim Matheson and one microphone directed to Morgan Philpot.
  • Questions will rotate back and forth, alternating between candidates so each has the opportunity to answer one question. Each candidate will have two minutes to respond to each question. To avoid a debate format, there will not be time after each question for a rebuttal

RSVP and Get the Word Out

Town hall meetings are a great opportunity for constituents to meet the men who would represent them in Congress. Please take a moment to RSVP on our Facebook events page.

The only problem I see with the schedule is that it leaves out the whole eastern half of Utah, of which is in your district. We may be few in numbers but we want to be represented as well. It is hard to be informed when there is little opportunity to meet the candidates who represent us in Washington.

He will be coming to Roosevelt on July 23rd. He will be at the Strata building, in the basement room, from 4:00 to 5:30pm.

Amanda,

We are planning on doing meet-the-candidates in Eastern Utah. Please let us know where you are and we will get you a list of times that Morgan could be out in your area.
